The Magic and Mishaps of the Lomo Diana F+
Reminder: remove the lens cap when shooting film. It’s expensive enough without leaving the lens cap on and sending the roll off to the lab.
Not that it’s happened to me or anything.
The Lomo Diana F+ is a quirky little camera, ridiculously fun to use, and you never quite know what it’s going to give you. The images can be a bit weird, a bit wonderful, and definitely memorable. It’s also a pretty good conversation starter.
It’s definitely not the most practical camera in my bag, but that’s kind of the point. There’s something about shooting with a camera like this that makes you slow down a bit and embrace the unpredictability. No perfect exposures, no pixel peeping, no idea exactly what you’re going to get until the film comes back from the lab.
The Diana F+ is staying in my camera bag for the foreseeable future. I’ve named her DIRTY DIANA, after the Michael Jackson song.
