A COUNTRY HOUSE WEDDING AT GOSFIELD HALL – NATALIE AND LUKE

A BEAUTIFUL AND RELAXED COUNTRY HOUSE WEDDING At Gosfield Hall.

Natalie and Luke got married last February at the grand Gosfield Hall, which is a stunning Grade I listed country house in Essex. It was a beautiful day and the sun even made an appearance!

Getting ready

Natalie got ready in the Roccoco bridal suite with all the girls, the room was brightly lit thanks to the large windows and that big orange thing in the sky. Natalie is well organised, I have the detailed emails to prove it ;) and this made for a nice relaxed morning. The bridal suite is one of the main reasons Natalie & Luke chose Gosfield hall.

"The final thing and what made me know I have to get married there was the bridal suite!! There is no other venue I’ve been to that can beat that room".

Luke got ready in The King’s Apartment with the ushers, best men, his dad, soon to be father-in-law and little Frankie.

The ceremony

The ceremony room is also in the house, just a short walk for both parties. It was a beautiful service in a room called The Queen's Gallery. The Gallery is quite distinctive, it's long and narrow, unique to all the venues I've worked at. The service was short and sweet, with no readings from friends or family and little Frankie kept his grandparents busy.

After the ceremony

We headed downstairs for a drinks reception, mingling, congratulations and a few group shots. The guests were free to roam the grounds and explore the many rooms at the venue. Natalie & Luke chose Gosfield Hall because they could use the whole house and different parts of the day were in different rooms. So there wasn’t any waiting around for rooms to be turned around.

AFTER DARK

I love a busy dancefloor and the guests at Natalie & Luke’s wedding certainly knew how to party, a brilliant end to a fantastic day.

Advice from the bride

"Enjoy the day and try and relax, you do enough stressing beforehand. It’s one day and costs a lot so you want to make sure you enjoy every minute. Make sure everyone is clear what needs to happen beforehand so things will be done for you on the day.

Be organised with logistics before so your not rushing.

It doesn’t have to cost the earth, I wouldn’t spend huge amounts on little things that people don’t even notice anyway.

Make sure the day is completely about you as a couple from your outfits, music (massive one for us), food and theme”.
