That's part of the magic part for me. With a digital file there are a million-and-one things that can be done and I can't help but feel like I have to do something. With a print, that's it, I accept what I'm given and it will remain that way. I want to see blown highlights, missed focus, the odd bit of camera shake... all the stuff that would otherwise be corrected. Correcting 'the moment' then loses something special. Digital photography can be just the same but it takes a bucket load of self restraint, as all the tools to make the image 'better' are at our fingertips... That's not to say great film photographers never edited, that would be false, of course they did. Me receiving a print instead of a digital file just takes that part away from me.
